Cedar rice with nuts - Rice with nuts - Method of preparing rice with nuts
Ingredients
2 cups basmati rice
4 tablespoons grated almonds
3 tbsp pine nuts
3 tablespoons pistachios
2 tbsp butter
Salt and Pepper
A little saffron
1/4 cup hot water
The way
- Wash basmati rice and leave in water for half an hour then drain.
- When cooking Basmati rice, the amount of water should be more than twice, and put about 6 cups of water on medium heat until it begins to boil.
- Put rice in boiling water for seven minutes until it begins to mature.
- Rinse and wash with cool water and leave aside.
- Heat the butter on medium heat then put the almonds, pine nuts pistachio and stir well until the color begins to yellow a little and then set aside, and keep the butter.
- Add the rice to the hot butter and stir and then take a little of it and add to the water saturated with the color and flavor of saffron and then add again to the rest of the rice and stir well.
- When serving rice is decorated with nuts, and raisins can be added to nuts.
